Do Good Today (DGT) is a registered nonprofit supporting community members experiencing food and housing insecurity in Weber County and surrounding communities.
This outreach effort is driven entirely by community volunteerism and private donation.

Community volunteerism has always been very important to North Ogden residents, Gary and Margaret Attebery. In June of 2021, they had the opportunity to participate in an outreach to the unsheltered community in Salt Lake City. Gary and Margaret were moved by the effort and realized that similar outreach was lacking in their own Ogden-area community. This was the beginning of Do Good Today (DGT), an outreach organization that grew tremendously within its first year and a half!
What began as two family SUVs loaded up with water, some canned food and hygiene items, and a few boxes of donated clothing, has grown into an organization that has distributed over 30k lbs of food and furnished over 70 apartments in the first year. So far, DGT has distributed 18 bikes to help our neighbors in need of transportation to get to work, and helped community members claim over $75k in missed COVID stimulus payments. This effort is made possible by thousands of hours of community volunteerism.
Unfortunately, those thousands of hours are split between only a handful of reliable DGT volunteers. We are in desperate need of additional volunteers to continue to provide these services. The demand only grows, but our ability to help is limited. Can you help?
At DGT, we're dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects. We value Ogden's diverse population and believe it enriches our organization. Through our programs, we strive to create a sense of belonging for everyone. We celebrate our community's diversity and work to ensure everyone feels welcome and able to thrive. By championing diversity, equity, and inclusion, we're not just serving those in need; we're building a stronger, fairer Ogden. DGT programs are available for all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, or personal circumstances.
